Use Recycled Paper....
Make sure your paper is 100% post-consumer recycled paper. The paper industry is the third greatest contributor to global warming emissions. Each 20 cases of recycled paper saves 17 trees, 390 gallons of oil, 7000 gallons of water, and 4100 kwh of energy. It also eliminates 60 pounds of air-polluting emissions and saves 8 cubic feet of landfill space. That's a BIG benefit to receive for changing to a product that is as good (or better) than the product you use now!

A Day At The Beach...
A fun day at the beach can inspire years of wonder and provides a perfect opportunity to teach kids about the ocean. Remember not to walk on the dunes. Dunes provide a barrier to wind and water to prevent beach erosion and often contain native plants vital to the local ecosystem. Remember to always keep beaches clean. Plastics and other debris harm sea life and pollute the ocean.

Save Water!!!
Fill a gallon plastic bottle with water and place it in your toilet tank. (The part in the back!) It will take up the same space as the water usually does, but in a year, it will keep 5,000 gallons of water from going down the drain.

Use Your Local Library!

!

Instead of buying a good book, see if it’s at your library first. You’re save energy in many ways, paper won’t be used to create another book, it won’t be packaged or shipped to the store, and when you’re done with it, someone else will be able to enjoy it.

Remember libraries also have CDs and DVDs. If your library does not have what your looking for you may be able to order it from another library.
